I think I please a lot of followers to do a windmill collage again.
This windmill (the name means: Never dream off , or Never thought)
Like all old windmills it have a long great history . Burn down in 1872 , rebuild and many restorations , last ones in 1988 and 1999. It was in use till 1970. Now it belong to a foundation and have no working condition. They try to collect the money for it .
Yes, you've certainly pleased this follower! The Dutch windmills are so iconic , and I find it fascinating that one like this has such a long history! There's true beauty here, in my opinion!
These are beautiful! I really love Holland's windmills. i had the pleasure of being in Holland, but only 3 days in 1998. I had 3 things on my wish list - windmill, dyke & tulips. My son did find all 3 for me driving through the countryside. Thanks for sharing :) Fav
Beautiful windmill and you have shown it very well in your fabulous collage. We have only one working windmill similar to that but like yours, it is there to show off only.
@gilbertwood You forgot cheese! By there's a lot more to Holland than these stereotypes. (I live in England btw, but we have visited Holland many times ove a long period. I've posted images from there on 365.)
