Fungus. A slow one

A few years ago we cut down a tree in our garden .On one of the roots this fungus is growing. It`s there for several months .Still growing bigger

Great shot of this huge fungus!!! For some reason, it makes me think of some kind of misshapen cinnamon roll with white icing on it!!! Really unusual looking!!!

Great shot Pyrrhula but be careful as it looks like honey fungus which can spread underground and affect other living plants. It might not be it but I would hate your garden to become infected
