I'm so pleased to see you've posted another! I'm fascinated that, to photograph a child in an industrial setting, was a popular thing to do! I actually like it for its uniqueness! Can you tell us what the thinking was for taking a building like this as a backdrop? And Kim, is he enjoying that you've found these vintage photos? This picture makes me think of some I have with our girls when they were young , and in a different style than this. Of course, I, too, would have a story to wrap around it, that might harken back to your image! Thanks again for sharing this, Ferry!
Now I have to agree with you on this one. The child looks out of place next to the worn out structure! So, we are both right - haha! What I like is people doing whatever they do in a photo - not posing in it as your son is here. But I do love that building - all the color and texture. Wonderful!
Thanks for all you nice comments and the fav.`s that brings this pic. to the P.P.
When I took this pic. this old factory was closed for several years. it take time to find out who has to pay for the demolition. Not long after the capture they started. There nothing left of it.
I did like to capture the big contrast between the gone factory (past) and a young kid (future) .
