Twins by pyrrhula

Twins

Funny and rare.
I found two twin windmills this year and both not that far from where I live.
This one is:
Standerd- windmill "de Hoed" ( the Hat .) Waarde.- Holland.
Open Standerd-windmill uit 1858.
Already before circa 1550 this windmill was build in the Belgium city Gent. In 1858 the mill was sold and rebuild on this place . Selling and rebuilds was often done those days
Sorry it was last year December : http://365project.org/pyrrhula/365/2015-12-18

How wonderful to create a windmill theme! You know we all love them! May I assume you knew about this near your home? Or were you surprised to come across it one day? On my walks around Lunenburg, someone has built a miniature scale model of their house and it sits out front at the end of the driveway. I think I may have it in my albums, but I haven't looked for it yet.

Very beautiful composition. Does the little miniature windmill have a purpose, or did someone build it just for fun, do you know?

@merrelyn @kelly2 Windmills are ancient/old factories. They where build and sold as the market pleased. Often been done. To day it`s the same. I live in this place because they/thefirm moved and replaced the whole (big) factory from one side of the country to an other side of the country. I move with it to keep my job.
