Happen sometimes that a crack in the,nearly almost, grey sky lighten a part of the country with golden color.
(and super trooper/spot light, the bird.)

Like you here, I chose to leave the computer and go out for a drive with Ken this afternoon. It looked as though it might snow...and it's getting cold! The clouds and light made for some lovely photos!
So -- fly like a bird !! I love the glow on the bird in the sky ( at first I thought it was a spot on my screen - but found I could not clean it off !! ) Great leading lines , all leading to the far distance !
There are many times when we think that landscapes like this should have blue skies, sunshine and fluffy white clouds. But this shot shows that a gray moody sky can be just as beautiful!
