The Cornflower (Kortgene)
De Korenbloem is a flour mill , which is located in the Dutch town of Kortgene (province of Zeeland ). It is a round stone shelving mill with five attics: grain, grinding, stone, louvre and roof attic. The position is 6.28 m above ground level . The mill was built in 1873 to replace a burnt-out ground sailorand ground up to wind power until 1953. In 1972, the blades were removed and in 1977 the hood, after attempts to restore the mill stranded. The wooden roof was covered with roofing felt. Since 2003 De Korenbloem had new owners, who had drawn up an extensive restoration plan. In 2009, the mill was transferred to the Molen De Korenbloem Foundation
