Some of my old Kayaking friends. I had to give it up two years ago. This is Rutland water which is Europe's largest man made reservoir and is 40km around the edge. This view is Whitwell creek, the main body is straight on and then to the right.

You can hire a kayak at Whitwell creek from Anglian water or contact Rutland Canoe club which I would say was the best way to get into it. http://www.rutlandcanoeclub.org.uk/
I am hoping to take my kayak out for a bit of play in the summer. Not often I get the chance these days. Love mine, saved up my pennies for a couple of years to buy mine. All the money I would have spent on lottery tickets I saved and got my toy!

Gosh, many years since I went to Rutland water, isn't that the one where they flooded the village? Shame you have to look on but mace chance for a shot :-)
