Still working through my images from the Missouri State Penitentiary last weekend. It was such a compelling place and I have some images which I want to include in my project.
I pressed my lens up against a window wire grate and shot through it, focusing down a long abandoned, peeling paint hallway. It might be better on black, if you have time or inclination. I guess the window barrier says it all.
This prison was decommissioned in 2004, but it was opened in 1836. At its peak, it housed 5200 inmates. Once, it was the largest prison in the US. I am not sure this is something to boast about.
Thanks for taking time to visit or comment, as you can. I appreciate each one.

Instant fav. I literally said 'wow' when this opened. The contrast of the barrier fencing/caging and the golden glow is striking. Sympathy on the weather! One of my colleagues is visiting her family in St. Louis and said the humidity is, well, um, understatement, noticeable.
I really like the different elements seen in the different frames or compartments of the image - well chosen!
