Still on the road... returned from Ithaca, NY, back to Washington, DC. I got to play "tourist" this afternoon, so fun. Learning about the rented city bikes and the street map.
Here is a view of the main entryway for the Library of Congress, such a gorgeous building. Difficult to do it justice, especially during the season of tourists and selfies.
Notice, on the lower floor, on the far left and far right arch. There are groups of people on each side. On the left, they are gathered around a copy of the Guttenburg Bible. On the right, they gaze at a copy of the Mainz Bible. Each historic, each leading us to the printing press, literature for the masses, newspapers and, eventually social media.
Oh, well.
