One more from my trip to the Butterfly House yesterday. This is a morpho butterfly. When they open their wings, you can see a magnificent iridescent blue color. This butterfly was very shy about displaying the blue, but is very handsome, nonetheless. Quite the poser. :)

@casablanca I edited this picture in Photoshop (PS). It helped the the background was far away from my subject. Once I got the image into PS, I made a selection around the butterfly's image and edited that part (lifting the exposure, increasing the contrast, etc.). I hope that helps some. Please let me know if you have other questions. I have learned a tremendous amount from being on this site. :)
@rosiekerr Thanks so much for your help. I don't have PS but I do have a similar program (Affinity by Serif) which I have mostly no idea how to use lol, but they have just released a workbook explaining it, so that may help. Novice editor here! I shall check out how to pick out a section of a picture to work on rather than the whole thing. I really like the effect you have here. Thanks for your kindness.
