The second of my legendary items (of the woodland imagination), the first being Thor's hammer ( http://365project.org/sabresun/365/2013-05-20) This powerful bow only exists in the film "The Immortals" The real myths contain no mention of the 'Epirus Bow' the movie features. Still, I like the name and the way it fires unlimited, shimmering arrows of light. You only have to pull back upon the bowstring and, well, tada! I also liked that it was 'found' amongst the bluebells, something of a mythical carpet setting if ever I saw one. The closest thing found in the actual Greek myths is Hercules's bow, used to win the Trojan War.
"The Epirus Bow was forged from the divine wood of the Epirus tree, therefore the bow itself is magical/divine in nature. It generates its own set of arrows, with no need for physical ones. When the bowstring is pulled by the user, the bow creates light-based arrows which when shot, hit their target with great concussive force."
Well spotted Matt & I can see The Epirus Bow but can also see a runner with his elbow back! The Epirus tree must be looked up or is it a imaginary name?
