Today I went to my mom’s house In Missouri to tidy her very overgrown and neglected flower beds. I began at 10 a.m. Not as early as I had planned. It’s an hour and a half drive. I worked until 2 pm. It was extremely hot , 105*F heat index and no wind.
Yes, yes, I know very dumb, but it needed doing.
And it is my honor to honor my mom.
I think these guys were Just waiting ....
Many thanks for comments on my “splash of color” photo yesterday and placing it on pp.
I admire your dedication. 105 is just plain ugly. I do really like this, don't think that they are waiting just being...conserving their energy. Stay safe and hydrated.
Love your title - that's always what they bring to mind with me, too. We weren't quite as bad today - had a shower last night and some clouds on and off today. Hope it's your turn next.
And if you had passed out what would that do for your mother, In my caregivers group we always say you have to take care of yourself first so you can keep being there for others. So please take care.
Great capture. Like the beginning of some mysterious story. Please slow down sometimes. Not only will you not help your mother, but you will also cause trouble for the rest of the family.
