Malta’s National Library is on the left side of Treasury Street, Vallletta. The arcades make a lovely walkway in front of the building. The library was founded in 1776 but its origins go back to 1555 when Grandmaster Claude de la Sengle decreed that all books belonging to deceased members of the Order of St John be bequeathed to the treasury. This shot was taen at night time when nobody was around.
