Flying the fence. by seanoneill

Flying the fence.

I think that I have shown my love of Horse Racing in recent posts. My house is a bit of a shrine to the sport with paintings, prints, bronzes, stacks of books etc. This week is definitely going to be a week of racing shots from me.

Rebecca, my lovely wife bought me a bronze statue of 3 horses jumping a fence for my 40th birthday and it is one my most prized possessions.

Here is a shot of it.

I have used a very shallow dof and focussed on the front horses nose and then processed in B+W.

I am now heading off back to Cheltenham, so will not be posting again until saturday, when I will catch up with everyone's wonderful work.

Have a good few days everyone.
Nicely shot. Love the focus on the front horse. I can almost feel them thundering towards me now. :)

I like the composition. The shallow depth of field really adds a dimension of motion to the photo. Hope you get some great race shots!

Nice composition and DOF. From the thumbnail I at first thought it was a b&w shot at a live event! :)
