The wind is a bit strong today, so it has been tricky to get a decent shot, here is the best I could manage. I'm still pretty pleased with it though.
The middle Tulip is the one from the earlier shot. I neglected to mention how I took this shot in my original description,, sorry about that. This is shot outside with a blue card behind it, in late afternoon sun.
I am hoping that shots of more Tulips, Lilac and Hydrangea may follow during the next week or two.
@lizzy_lu123 Thanks Lisa, That is good of you to say so.
@jillmstruss Thanks Jill, that is what I tried to do, I am pleased you think I have achieved it.
@debsphotos Great to hear from you Debs, you deserve a rest from 365, but I have missed your company.
@whitelily Thanks Corinna, that is what I tried to achieve so I am glad you say this.
@pictureitbig Many thanks, yes it is outside, in my front garden, but shot against a blue card backdrop. Blue being opposite Orange on the colour wheel gave me the idea. I have to rely on these simple rules to help me on my way sometimes!!
Stunning, perfect complimentary colors, fabulous idea, wonderful creativity. Meets my criteria for an instant FAV from me. The tulips are beautiful, too.
Beautiful bright colours and composition! So simple yet so pleasing to the eye. I admit that I was fooled by the blue card though, I thought it was the sky! :) Doesn't matter, sky or card, it's a super image. :)
@sailingmusic Thanks Myrna, it took a few attempts to get them like this. Thanks for your congrats, I am delighted that I have had 3 different shots on PP and one on the home page in the last week. Especially when I look at the other shots that make it.
@ladyjane Thanks for the Fav Jane, that is really good of you, and very much appreciated. I love this photo, and am so thrilled that so many others do too.
@tulipgirl Thanks Alicia. It i sonly a small garden at the front of the house, but we have about 6 types of Tulips and about 100 in various stages of blooming. Then come the Alliums!!
