Streets in local villages were my shot today, a day when it was raining when I awoke, and 10 hours later, it still is!
Flesh Hovel Lane is in the village of Barrow upon Soar.
Flesh Hovel - a strange name. It is believed that the name relates to the fact that when the Quorn Hunt was stabled at Quorn Hall there was a building here where animals were slaughtered and hung until required for feeding the hounds!
Butthole Lane is in Shepshed.
According to the history books, Butthole Lane is where men went to practice their archery skills in Tudor times. Butt means target.
You may find this link amusing. No I will not be providing the type of shot mentioned in the link!
Wow, what an address to have to tell people. "Yes, you can deliver my pizza to 501 Butthole Lane." Great find and history. I would so lobby for a name change, though. Not that I could bring myself to buy a house on such a street.
Oh this has cheered me up no end! Just the type of thing I'd photograph too! And that link - so funny! In my mind I can just hear my kids saying "grow up mum!"
@jennywren Thanks Jen. To do thi sI have a template set up in Photoshop that is for two shots. So I drop the 2 shots in as separate layers and then save as a JPeg.
