It is at Crosby in North West England and is called. It is an installation of 100 cast iron statues of the artist, Anthony Gormley, soread out over 2 miles of beach.
Originally a temporary installation when completed in 2006, and due to be moved to New York, it has met with broad appeal and is still in place.
The statues all disappear beneath the waves at high tide. We arrived just as the tide started to go out, and walked along the beach for a couple of hours enjoying them appear as we walked.
These are great! I had seen other shots of these last week by someone see I think. I love the b and w! And the seagull. It must be weird to see them be en enveloped by the rising tide. Creepy, really! I hope the US gets them one day! Fav
