On the thursday of our holiday we drove down to Lyme Regis for a fossil hunt.
Parking in the town centre, we purchased a fossil hammer and went off down the beach in search of fossils. We were lucky enough to find a few small ones to keep and see a lot of the very impressive large Ammonites in the Ammonite pavement.
Here is a view of some beach huts on the beach between the town centre and The Cobb. Today, I prefer the colour version!
Thanks for the great comments on my Hurst Spit photos, I am glad the unconventional crop went down well.
Fossil hunting? Sounds intriguing. I've never known anyone who did this. Your image of beach houses is a well-spotted sight and the cropping is perfect.
