Calshot Beach ~ 1 by seanoneill

Calshot Beach ~ 1

26th October was my 48th Birthday.

I enjoyed a great day at Calshot beach, visiting my sister and her family and then going to see my football team win. My Nephew and Niece, Dan and Ellie put on a wonderful birthday tea for me.

When I was a young boy, we would often run out of a sunday afternoon to Calshot Beach. Though it is bleak and desolate, I hold it in such fond regards. Note the chimney of Fawley Power Station peaking between the beach huts!!

There were plenty of Kite Surfers out on the water, see my post for Nov 3rd for a shot of one.
That's quite a stunning composition- and I just love that chimney , fav and belated Happy Birthday ! Sounds like a good day

So well spotted and such a beautiful composition. And you have a power station element in it!

I assume the beach has shifted to nearly bury that crooked fence. The fence and wide angle look of the cabins makes an interesting photo.

Great composition with the fence leading your eye up the scene.
