We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Houses of Parliament yesterday. I would highly recommend it to anyone when in London.
Sadly, photography isn't allowed anywhere within parliament. It has so much to offer photographically, it is such a shame that it isn't allowed.
We were allowed to take photos inside Westminster Hall. which was built in 1097 by the son of William the Conquerer, William II Or King Rufus as we know him.
This chap spent all his time sweeping up with a small dustpan and brush, and the light created some incredible shadows. I was minded of some of Vivian Maier's remarkable photos when I took this.
You can expect to see one or two more shots of this chap in my other albums in the days ahead.
This shot is processed in SFX Pro using the pinhole effect.
Wow this is so good! I love the light and shadows and such an excellent choice of processing. Fav, this is one I will come keep coming back to look at.
Wow! You haven't lost your touch since I have been away Sean! Such an atmospheric shot …. and I am all in favour of job-creation schemes! Love the light and shadow; the detail you have captured in the door is wonderful. Fav!
Must be seen large to appreciate the floor detail. It would be interesting to know if he saw you taking pictures, especially since you took several. Fav.
I missed this this week. Awesome shot. Love the space. Fav. Always nice to be on the TT with you this week. And somehow I am always under you. You win. Sheesh...tough competition this week!! Congrats to you!
@taffy@bluefirebucket@rvwalker@lesip thank you all. I am always so pleased when any black and white makes the TT, so when it's one of mine I'm doubly pleased!
I'd love to go to Westminster Hall. It's one of those places I keep meaning to visit but never do.
That poor guy needs a bigger broom
I've worked at Westminster Hall, great venue.
