Clipstone Colliery ~ 24 by seanoneill

Clipstone Colliery ~ 24

Thank you to all who congratulated Sam on his new car yesterday. We thoroughly enjoyed reading about your first cars. A great array of colours and mechanical faults, many of which would not be deemed roadworthy nowadays.

Another day of shots from Clipstone. I may try and get out with my camera tomorrow, but have been so busy today, working until 1am this morning and another 5 hours already today preparing for a meeting in a few minutes. I am trying to put a newly won piece of business to bed today and then another tomorrow, so I know they are underway before I go to hospital with Ben next week.

"Look between the cracks for that which is lost and you'll find there is beauty in decay". From 'Beauty in Decay', a photographic book by Urbex published by Carpet Bombing Culture, www.carpetbombingculture.co.uk Urbex is of course urban explorers.

This is a super photograph conveying urban and industrial decay, Sean. Maybe some time some of us might get together and explore some abandoned place.

Hope you get your contracts sorted and all goes well with Ben.

@ivan Thanks Ivan, that is such a great website, I really appreciate you sharing it with me. I think I am going to get in touch about some of my shots, maybe the Loughborough Backstreets. You never know!!

Looks like someone has been let loose with a sledgehammer. A scene of neglect, sad but a great record of what has happened here.
