To work, to work ... by shannejw

To work, to work ...

Well, the DAF (Danbo and friends) challenge this week is transport, so the mannequin got to travel on the tube. (Actually I had him in my bag because I thought I might get to do some work with him with my flaky student, however, flaky student is being flaky, so I just grabbed him out of the bag and posed him at the end of the line as I was getting off). http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/21671/danbo-and-friends-2-transport

Thank you for looking, you're all superstars, and I am sort of catching up, slowly

Could be pole dancing - not that I claim to know about that sort of thing !

Ahhhhh!

I think you should complain to London Underground that they're discriminating against DAFs by not providing Danbo height seating.

Nice play, Shane, I love the fact you carry mannequine in your bag!

I see a picture book taking shape with all these adventures of the mannequine.

Hey Shanne, a great entry for DAF2. Well done!

Hold on! Hold on! You will not like it if that train comes to a sudden halt! Flaky students being flaky! Who knew? Haha I forgot the theme was transportation this week. I need to shoot something!

I'm so glad your friend survived the month of February. ;) Good to see he's out and working.

Fantastic!! He looks a lot bigger here than I thought it would be. Very clever!

Very clever shot, now if only I could find an empty carriage like that .....
March 19th, 2014
Great shot, lucky there were no 'real' people to distract from him
March 19th, 2014
Looks empty! Fun shot!

Love this Shanne
March 19th, 2014
Great one! He's looking like, where's everyone gone, I thought there was another stop.
March 19th, 2014
I have visions of you furtively pulling a wooden mannequin out of your bag...hurriedly setting it up and firing off the shot. The things you do for a great photo! Great idea.

I really love the perspective and processing in this and I admire your courage to take a shot like this in such a public space. So often I am too embarrassed to take a shot and then regret it later... Thank you so much for your regular comments, they really make me happy - I think you're my most loyal follower and I'm really sorry if I can't always return the favour.

@gioiaw just about yes - one shot and stuff him back in the bag, then run
March 19th, 2014
@scarybird you obviously know more about pole dancing than I do
March 19th, 2014

FAB U LOUS made me smile after a disturbed night. Love the processing.
March 20th, 2014
I really like this - it's whimsical and clever and not overly cute :). It also makes your manni seem huge!
March 20th, 2014
This is spectacular. The part that I enjoy the most is imagining you going through the motions to get this shot. Bravo.

I wish I had the front to grovel around on tube trains with a wooden mannequin, but my knees just wouldn't let me, neither would my confidence! Love this and can just picture the scene, kudos my friend! Fav.
