Hanging from the Rafters

Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe, Seattle
Year 2, day 62

Rainy day that made the boys (who slept until almost noon in any case) loath to go out and do anything but I did manaage to talk them into a late lunch downtown along the waterfront. When we go to the waterfront they always like to take a look in Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe. This shop is one of those stores/museums where one can look at everything from a two headed calf (stuffed) to a mummy to the jaw bone of a sperm whale and buy an assortment of tourist schlock nearly all of which says Seattle on it and nearly all of it completely unnecessary. Some of the items hanging around are old Seattle history (or so they say) including the items in this shot used for the Alaskan gold rush (most people heading to Alaska began the trip in Seattle). Note the mummified croc hanging to the left; I have no idea why it's here.

Beautiful the way these things creep out of the blackness of your capture.
