Oreo reflector test CW

Critique requested! SOOC again tonight.

Oreo was actually quite cooperative for some reason tonight. He was somehow mesmerized by the posterboard reflector. Worked for me! Feel like I got some good detail in him, no harsh light, and if there were any shadows, they were below him and unseen in the photo. What's funny is that you can see the posterboard in the reflection of the patio door!

Filling in open spots here. Photo actually taken on Nov 6 as part of the flash exercises.
This has worked well

I have white and black posterboard, for reflection and for back grounds. Now I have a scrim too. And this is about Two's reaction to these things. Great shot.

Love the catchlights, they work well. It's just an opinion and I would always need to defer to your artistry, but I'll confess the image feels just a bit underexposed for a flash image. Then again that could be a matter of displays. I'm on a Macbook retina display and the brightness of the display could be set lower than yours so you may be seeing the image brighter and with more detail than I. Good catch on the reflector reflecting in the background, reflections/highlights from the light bouncing around are definitely something to consider with speedlites. You've got some really nice images here! Great stuff!

@icamera Your comments are always so valuable! I agree that it's underexposed. I don't remember which flash output I used. Could definitely have been stronger. LR would likey take care of that. But I definitely wanted critique on what I actually captured before processing so that I could get the kind of feedback you gave me. All of these shots have ignored composition in the effort to concentrate on the lighting. However, the composition comments are teaching me what to look out for when I do use the flash! I never even thought to take that French door into consideration! I'm loving the feedback! Thanks SO much!!!

Great shot Ashley.A curved reflector would probably get rid of the reflection in the the background.
