Peony, High Key by shesnapped

Peony, High Key

My get pushed challenge for May 9 was to take a high key photo. In the midst of spring cleaning, both house and yard, and everything else that went into prep for graduation weekend, I didn't get it done that week. But I also didn't want to let the challenge get by me. So here it is, taken on May 20, uploaded and posted on May 30.

Took this shot against a white background which was actually mosquito netting that we've wrapped the blueberry bush in to prevent the birds from eating all the berries. Then turned up the highlights and whites and decreased the shadows and blacks in LR. Then edited in OnOne to add the glow. All the articles I read on high key related to portraiture and all kinds of lighting equipment. Accidentally turned a photo into high key in PS when messing with curves, and that gave me the idea for this edited photo. CRITIQUE REQUESTED!
oh yeah! Now you can do another high key with an opened blossom I bet!
