Standing Vigil by shesnapped

Standing Vigil

Two seemingly simultaneous events yesterday: a funeral procession and a fatal car accident. Traffic was jammed up for quite a while. As we sat and waited, with the funeral procession somewhere in front of us, and the car accident just around the corner, I noticed this man standing on the side of the road, probably in his own front yard on this fairly rural stretch of road. No telling how long he stood there, watching, waiting, not moving, just standing...

(Taken thru my front windshield.)
It is funny how our live experiences influence how we see things. I see an elderly man who may have stepped away from his house and has become confused.

Awesome capture!!! Hope he wasn't involved in the accident and just sort of wondered away? He looks a bit stunned!! Or puzzled!!! Great in B/W and fantastic composition! FAV!

In case you still need a push, I challenge you to shoot a vanishing point pic.
