Autumn Fruits by shirleybankfarm

Autumn Fruits

Everywhere I look there are lovely fruits. I have a lot of apples and pears but hardly any damsons this year. Top left is Hawthorn, top right - pear in the orchard, middle left - cob nuts in the orchard, middle right - Damson in the orchard, bottom left - chestnuts (conkers), bottom right - apples in the orchard
A lovely collage.

Lovely autumn collage. We had hardly any damsons too - one bowl full. The apples are good; the pears are iffy and always have been. We wait until they drop hard and then collect them before the rabbits get there.

@roachling @stiggle @barneyone @maggiemae @callymazoo @gijsje @snowy @hermann @tunia @flowerfairyann @bruni @bkbinthecity @onewing @brillomick @annepann @ingrid_marianna @memoriesbydawn @milaniet Thank you all for taking and interest in my project. I do like to read all your comments and appreciate them all. Cally my pears never grow very well they are always small and hard. Bruni, I have never heard of Italian plums but have looked them up and they look very similar to Damsons. Damsons are quite small and have a very dry, tart taste when eaten raw.
