Waterspout

photo 133
Here's something you don't see every day at the beach - a rather beautiful but menacing waterspout. The story: we saw two of these waterspouts in one afternoon, they did no harm and never touched land, but this one came fairly close to land (you can see the Mayan Ruins here as jagged edges in the distant horizon). This weather phenomenon drew quite a crowd, I was glad I had a camera with me while we were enjoying the beach that afternoon!

That's impressive! Well captured, Danny! I saw a waterspout many years ago while looking out of the window of our flat. That was my first and only time. It was pretty exciting to see. 8)

Great capture. We used to see many of these when I was a child; not so often nowadays, for whatever reason. Love that big black cloud.

Wow, this is fantastic, Danny! So often when you have the chance to capture something extraordinary like this in a limited time, then you make a flumox of the whole thing, Full marks to you for not doing that, great capture!
