Had a lovely day out recently all around my lovely home county of Norfolk, the UK and started the day off with a beach walk at Happisburgh (pronounced Hazeborough) where I got to see the lighthouse, which I think I haven't actually seen before. I am definately going back again in the spring and summer when the fields around it are all grown up.
I took a shot on my mobile phone which I am really happy with from the other side as I pulled up in my car, as the sun was blasting light onto the red and white stripes, and the sky behind was a brilliant blue, but I am being picky and wanted to upload a shot from my camera. We managed a lovely walk before weather turned on us, as it had been forecast so this is to show the clouds closing in and the mood changing. The selective colour is just to accent the red of the lighthouse and because the grey clouds in colour looked rather flat and dull.
3 good things:
1 - Managing to get a beach walk in at the start of the day as had been planned for a week, before the weather really did turn very bad.
2 - An awesome dinner that evening at a restaurant called the Workshop in Norwich. Have been meaning to go for years and the food was amazing.
3 - A lovely walk through a very wet and rainy Norwich that evening on my way back to the car after dinner.
I was thinking the other day I must go and take shots of this some time. I was born and bred in Norfolk too, and we used to have a family game about who was the first to glimpse Happisburgh lighthouse. Love your composition and pov. Definite fav.
