Green fields of past life
Turned into greyness of mind
Yesterday's laugh in eyes
Of the children gone
In the winds of time
Lost in the stream of life
Sweet memories of the time forgotten
Things that I have lost
Falling leaves in the hands of time
That have turned into sands of
Hourglass that's counting our life
The cold fields have now frozen
And what was green has faded
The silent wind whispers voices
Of the children gone away

This greyness isin´t ever going to end, I´m beginning to believe we´ve skipped summer and been transferred straight into fall. Depressing I know but at least it´s not blobs or marbles.
Love the poem and you have chosen an image which goes very well with it, showing the bleakness and colourlessness of winter. But the path leads through it and up into the distance so perhaps there is hope ahead?
Thought provoking shot with atmosphere... love how my eyes travel through the shot, so much to look at in front, in the middle, in the back. Great shot, faved.

@susale i understand about the bleakness, but it always feels darkest just before the dawn... and it's good that you're able to express the feelings in such an eloquent way as you have with this shot.
