Stretch Sports Car

I challenged my get-pushed partner to try long-exposure photography. Lately, I have been taking my own challenges. My partner is planning to dig out his ND filter. I don't have one of those, so I just chose a cloudy day, dialed the aperture down and set ISO to the minimum.
Nerd alert: It occurred to me that I can estimate the speed of this car just from the image and exif information. A wheel cover is about 15 inches in diameter. The wheel cover in the blurred image is about 3 times as wide as it is tall. Thus, the car moved 30 inches in the time of the exposure or 1/13 of a second. That makes 30*13 inches per second times 1 foot per 12 inches times 1 mile per 5280 feet * 3600 seconds per hour. Multiply that out and we get 22.16 miles per hour. That seems about right.

So how is that for a math question (or a maths question)? @shannejw @casablanca @phil_sandford
