Giant ball of light by teodw

Giant ball of light

I have played with steel wool before but not light painting so this was a first attempt. It is getting dark earlier now so I have been looking for things to take pictures of and had it in mind that I would try this soon, so here it is! Tonight is also the first time this year we have had our fire going. So cosy in the house now and so cold outside. Anyway, this picture reminds me of a giant ball of tangly string rolling up the garden path!
I have been a really, really bad 365'er lately but I'm hoping that this week brings with it the opportunity to really sit down and scroll the pages of my followers. School holidays are over and routine is back to normal so lets see how it goes time wise ! Starting Monday okay?

@terryliv Hey Terry. It is easy and one of those good things to do when you run low on photo opportunities. Camera on a tripod. Long exposure. Night time. String of battery operated lights or glow sticks or sparklers. Swing them around. Put a marker on the ground, 20 cent piece or something and swing them so they centre over the marker if you can. Play with your camera settings as needed. Helps to wear dark clothing so you don't show up too much. Have a go Terry! I look forward to seeing what you come up with ;-)
