Plague of grossness

Plague Soldier Beetles. Yep, that's what these little flying bastards are. They have invaded our garden by the hundreds of thousands. Appeared out of nowhere, clinging onto tree trunks, plants, grass, twigs whatever they can accumulate on. We had them in November all over our house and after about a week they went away so hopefully they nick off quick this time. Normally I'm cool around bugs but there are sooooooo many of these little critters it's unbelievable! After googling last time, I learnt they are harmless, just want to eat nectar and have sex. More like an orgy I'm thinking.
Thank goodness they are harmless, imagine the devastation if they weren't! Hope they move on soon.

I'm glad that they are only after nectar. In those numbers they would stirp your garden in no time.

Nectar and sex = lots of soldier beetle babies. Good luck with this one Terrie :)

Lol with your description but I don't think I'd be happy to see these everywhere.
