This is our local hospital. It serves our county and several surrounding rural counties. It is an awesome hospital with several specialties, including cardiac surgeries.
Two of our children worked here as techs while in nursing school then as nurses for a couple years after graduation.
I am thankful because during this pandemic this hospital (its people) has provided testing and care for vast numbers of folks with Covid-19. The ICU has been at capacity several times! It has been to the point of almost overwhelmed, but all the time taking care of other medical needs of the community in a safe environment, including surgeries and newborn deliveries!
I appreciate the dedication that the nurses, staff and administration have shown and continue to show during this pandemic. I'm grateful that this hospital is part of my community!
Well said Gary....I think we have all learned to appreciate our medical staff & all who work in any position in hospitals & surgeries. It looks an impressive building!
Amen! So grateful for ours, too. And the cardiology group practice that started 15–20 years ago and … located on another edge of the hospital's parking lot!
Very meaningful and personal shot. Are your kids still nursing? Hospitals have been so essential for emergency care during the pandemic, though I do also feel for people who were awaiting surgery and had it cancelled.
@casablanca Thanks, I agree! Yes, both continue to be nurses. My daughter works in a cardiac VAD unit (it is a external heart unit) and my son is a nurse practitioner working in a private medical office.
