Church revisited... by thewatersphotos

Church revisited...

I've photographed this church in our town before, but I don't think it was from this angle. I just liked the light and the sky. I'm also learning to use different apertures to change the "mood" of my photos.
Nice looking church Gary - shame about those power lines 🙁.

Lovely church! I like how the color of the roof comes back in the stairs and railing.
Just a pity of the power lines in front. I have similar problems with my mosques and try to get as close as possible with a wide angle lens.. But it often doesn't work.

It's quite lovely with the dogwood and bright spring leaves around it.

Very pretty.

Lovely church...round windows tend to catch my eye

You have such pretty churches...they always look warm & friendly whereas some if our very old churches can look dark & very formal.

Power lines are the photographers nemesis. They can be removed in post but it is a difficult and laborious job. This is a lovely image nonetheless with soft, pastel colours and a very pleasing composition.

A beautiful church. Very nice architecture!

@jon_lip Thanks, Jon. I just resolve myself to the fact that these things exist , they are part of the landscape and so they stay in the photos.

@danette Thanks, Danette. I thought so, too, when I pulled it up on my computer.

@cwbill Thank you, Bill. What yo can't see is the rest of the beautiful old houses they are used in addition to the church.

@ingrid01 Thank you, Ingrid. I just include the power lines. They are so low and close to the buildings in our town.

@k9photo Thanks, Kate. I noticed them, but they are pretty now that you mention them.

@happypat Ha! Ours are quite a bit younger than many of yours. Church is very much a part of community here and the congregations, while sometimes small, are typically very close.

@cdcook48 I agree, Chris, but I just accept them as part of the landscape and don't worry about taking them out. It is what you would see if you drove by this lovely church.

@congaree Thank you, John!
