Lagerstroemia by ubobohobo

Lagerstroemia

When the lagerstroemia, crepe myrtle or Christmas Tree, as it was always called by my Grandmother, is in bloom you know Christmas is just around the corner. This tree is 45 years old and was grown from a cutting taken from trees my grandmother brought to Ubobo when she came here in 1927. I love them and wait with joy for them to burst into bloom around this time each year. Such lovely family memories are linked to this tree.
Oh, I love crepe myrtle too, and your photo certainly shows them off well. I love your story behind these too!
