...good season, good prices, good cattle! The little saleyards at Biggenden which usually handle about 500-800 head of cattle were full to overflowing on Monday when 2 300 head hit the market. This pen in the front for example sold for over $600 per beast - and that was DOWN on the first couple of sales for the year. However I still saw lots of smiles and happy faces. What a difference some rain makes to our "wide brown land".
