I went to the Nottingham Mela today. It was a big disappointment with little in the way of photo opportunities. Suman didn't come because she was in London for the weekend to celebrate a friend's birthday, but she came home soon after I did and hopped into the bath.
I shot a few different poses but ended up choosing the first photo I'd taken. I might try this photo again in the future, perhaps with different lighting and in colour. Suman thinks it's a bit provocative but I think it's artfully done.
So I watched Inception last night and it was excellent. I expected it to be good and it didn't disappoint. There was a real pay-off at the end when the different elements to the narrative concluded, and it was that rare beast - an intelligent and original big budget blockbuster. I highly recommend it!

I think this is really nice, I would agree with you that its more art than provocative. Very nice shot.
BTW I dont have a TV so I rarely hear about new films, I just watched the trailer for Inception, looks like a great one to check out when it comes to DVD or sooner if I can handle the dubbing into German (I hate not hearing the actors real voices in the theatre!).
Great shot - my girlfriend would 1) scream if I suggested taking my camera into the bathroom and 2) kill me if I did then uploaded a pic... lol
As for film, yeah, liked it a lot. I was expecting a similar twist at the end, maybe Leonardo suddenly waking up then the film ending, but overall, was v good.
Great shot. I agree - it's artfully done, as you say. I too liked Inception. I was amazed at the editing, that we could follow all the different story lines at one time.
I love this.. the b&w worked perfectly for this shot. Seductive? Not really.. I have one in mine that shows my entire legs from tops of thigh down to tips of toes in the bath ;). Your shot is stunning.
thanks...the capability of that particular lens is limited (even i who know close to nothing about lenses realize that) but i really don't have much of a choice but to make do with what i have. i have a 70-300 and a macro that's currently broken. i'm saving up for another lens but i have no idea what to get. what would you suggest? please bear in mind that it's portraits that i like doing =)
