How exciting - I've just won an eBay auction! I've won a second-hand but in pristine condition 28-135mm Canon lens with hood. I tried out the lens yesterday in a camera shop, and it's had good reviews; I think it'll be useful as it'll give me moderate telephoto capabilities and will be an ideal everyday lens. I plan to compliment it with an ultra-wide angle lens and a wide prime in the near future.
I mentioned in yesterday's post that Suman's little sisters stayed for the weekend, and as they were about to leave today I took a few snaps of the little terriers. I thought it would only be fair to publish a photo of Suman's other sister Cerise, seeing as yesterday's was a photo of Monica.
Cerise can be a real handful! This little madam is 12 years old, and I took another photo of her where it shows her character, but this one shows off her lovely green eyes.
When I tried the 28-135mm lens it was on a Canon 7D. All I can say is "wow", as it seems to be a serious piece of kit. It felt so natural in my hands; it was the right amount of weight and felt solid and durable. There are rumours that a Canon 60D is on the horizon, so I will hold out for a little while because Canon are due a new model in that range. The 7D does seem to be excellent though and just a step up in every way from the 450D that I currently use.

Congrats on your new lens, great win!!
And thanks for the A-Team. Yeah, dont mind an action film now and then, and be fun to see what they did with it :-)
