We went to Brighton today, and unfortunately the weather was awful. We got there and it was pouring with rain all afternoon. I was annoyed because I wanted to use my new lens, but I could only take a few photos as we strolled along Brighton beach and back because of the adverse weather conditions. However as we got back to the hotel, a few rays of sunshine and blue skies broke out. It was Sod's law, but as I sat in my hotel room I thought I'll regret it if I didn't pop back out.
As the sun was setting and the clouds dispersed, the scenery and the sky was so much more beautiful. I snapped away and I particularly liked some of the shots I took of the boats that adorn part of the seafront.
I'm rather pleased with this photo and with some of the other seafront shots I took. I underexposed the sky in post-processing and increased the clarity of the picture to enhance the colours and detail.
I have to say that I don't think I enjoyed a shoot as much as I did today. The Canon 10-22mm lens is a joy to use! I can see that I'm going to have fun with this lens.

beautiful pic, glad you are loving your new lens Vik. I like the stones in the boat, how the boat points out to sea leading my eyes that way, and the wonderful sky. Very nice shot.
This is a great shot Vik and great editing. Must admit, despite my thoughts about not requiring any other lens than the standard 18-55 and the zoom 55-200 I've got, I really wish I had something better today to capture Guildford Cathedral... especially the inside....
love it
