I woke up today and the weather was not good. I mentioned in yesterday's post that I planned on going to the Peak District today, but it was raining all morning. Although it cleared up a bit later on, there were still strong gusts. Luckily us Brits have tomorrow off too, so I'll go in the morning instead.
Because my plans were postponed I had the afternoon free, so I went into town to do a bit of shopping. I took a few random snaps on my way to meeting a friend.
I know this shot's not the best and is a bit of a filler, but I liked how the sun shone on top of the phone boxes. I cheated with the lens flare, as I added it in Photoshop. I know it's a bit unnatural but I needed to spruce up this image! This is the second time I've taken a photo of a phone box (or two); I last did on day 18.
I showed my parents some of my photos for the first time. It was quite nice because I think they were genuinely impressed with my work. My dad is notoriously hard to please, so the few positive words he uttered meant a lot!
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

Our phone booths, when you can find them anymore, are just a phone on a pole. I really like this photo, the phone booths have such character. The sun shining behind is nice also.
Bloody Hell Vik!!! You seem to beat me to every idea I have! I also spotted some old, now disused red boxes near me the other week and thought I'd snap them one day... Oh well.... better think of something else :-)
