It was a dreary, grey day today. I planned on going to the University of Nottingham's campus for a shoot but the weather wasn't particularly inspiring, so I decided to leave it for today. Instead I waited for the night and drove a few minutes to a local tram stop.
As it was the last stop I had two attempts at this; once as it drove in and again as it drove back. This is the latter attempt. I took this using my tripod and a long exposure, and in post-processing I did very little except decrease the clarity to make the tram lights more blurred.
I just love doing long exposures at night. I need to think of some more ideas for these types of photos, as I love the results long exposures can achieve and I want to do more!
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

Best one off the top of my head is to take multiple exposures. If you do one long one, you lose detail because of ambient light. So instead, you might take like 24 ten minute exposures and then merge them. You can even do it in Lightroom now (there's a plugin that's perfect for it)!
