Assessed

Mum has been in hospital for the past month, in that time she has been assessed as a high care patient & our family has been put in the situation of placing her into a home. She was very vague today when I called in on her but we are sure she knows what is going on. Her mind wanders a little but she has always loved a chat so that won't definitely change. I just hope this transition goes well for her, it saddens me to watch her deteriorate so quickly in so little time. She will get our love & support as she always has
I'm so sorry. That is such a hard thing to go through. This is a lovely, subtle shot of her.

It is so hard to see parents deteriorate. 'Old age is not a game for cissies' a quote given to us by a mid 8o's friend. My mum is 96 on the 5th, still living on her own and fiercely independent;the family all dread her getting incapable of living on her own as she is adamant she will never go into a home. I do hope your Mum settles in well. Thinking of you

We went through this with my dad, sometimes quite overwhelming. Hang in there. Very touching profile picture of your mum.
