@hermann This is the little village of Nieuwendam and the village café (pub) The village of Nieuwendam is just one road on a dike. But surrounded by new (well the houses are from 1920's) housing estates of the city of Amsterdam. Which is not odd as the city centre of Amsterdam is only 4 kilometres south across the water of the IJ.
