Royal Albert Dock, Liverpool. It was built in 1846, damaged in war time bombing and as the docks declined it was closed in 1972. When I lived in Liverpool in the 70s it was derelict and not a place you would want to spend any time. After regeneration in the 80s it's become home to museums, art galleries and restaurants
