Although if you come in the winter much is closed off but can be accessed by skis or snowshoes. @paul10 We were lucky and got sunshine yesterday. A little hard to work with those bland days. @mittens I'll be looking for your crystal ball images, Marilyn. This one actually belonged to a friend. I need to order my own because it was really fun to use it.

@radiogirl Thank you so much for your lovely comments! Any success I had was purely luck. This was my friend's crystal ball - my first time to use one. We had so much fun playing around with them! Hoping to answer your question with some measure of intelligence ... I googled "photographing with crystal balls." One of the things I did purely by luck was to put the ball in the shade and have a subject that was in the sun. I would suggest googling and see what you can find. Wish I could help more!
This is so neat - love the place you found to place it - that's always been a big problem when I try it. This worked out perfectly and is so well focused.
