Millenium Wall, National Stone Centre

In June 2000 members of the Dry Stone Walling Association from all over Britain built 19 different sections of dry stone wall in their own local materials. This section is an example of a Derbyshire Peak District wall with gritstone on the right of the 'squeeze' and limestone on the left.
Interesting, the contrast in textures.

A fascinating project! And a great photo with the squeeze giving us a view of the field grass. (And I love the sky!) Fav

Dry stone walling is such an art. Interesting narrative and great photo.
