Meet Ruby!

For our 15th anniversary, my partner (Carolyn) and I planted this tree (Ruby) in the nearby park. That was 22 years ago, when she was just a skinny sapling. In fact, she was so skinny that we could put one hand around her trunk! Now look at her! We call her "Ruby" because she turns a flaming red in the fall. She is mid-way into her fall transition, but I'm posting this now in case a strong wind comes along...

The tree is beautiful. We got two tiny maple trees from our "free tree shade" program. They are now 24 years old and quite big! Fav.
