This berry-laden bush has yet to be found (or pillaged) by the birds. All the better for us humans to enjoy the colours on a sunny day.

As a human, I must confess I pillage, too, some of those wintering berries, especially rose hips after first frosts when they'ver become soft. I then dry them and make rose tea :)
