Yet more monarch butterflies! Because they are an endangered species, and because they are so beautiful, I can't stop myself from posting photos of them whenever I am lucky enough to see them. Soon they will be migrating to Mexico. (Somewhat cooler today, but humid!)
Another beautiful capture - with her wings half opened - I have very little success in capturing butterflies - - they flutter off as soon as I approach!! fav
@beryl I think luck has a lot to do with it, Beryl. I never manage to capture a monarch with its wings fully open, for example. I think, too, some butterflies are more sluggish than others. Cabbage whites flit about especially quickly, I find.
